Brooks Psychological Services
"Building resilience, one conversation at a time"

About Me
-Alec Brooks, LMHCA
I bring diverse experience from community health clinics, behavioral health organizations, and group private practice settings. I work with clients from all backgrounds who are navigating anxiety, depression, stress management, and the complexities of daily life. I have particular expertise supporting neurodivergent clients, informed by my personal, professional, and academic experiences.
My therapeutic approach integrates cognitive behavioral therapy with humanistic principles and positive psychology. This combination allows me to collaborate closely with clients while helping them identify and build upon their existing strengths. I believe in meeting people where they are and working together toward meaningful change.
I hold a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington and a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from Northwest University, where I'm currently pursuing my PsyD in clinical psychology.
